From browser to hardware
Lowha began as a Chromium-based browser that made adult content impossible to access — blocked at the engine level, not with a flimsy extension. It worked. But we kept hitting the same wall: a browser can only protect you inside the browser.
The addiction machine lives on the whole phone — in the apps, the notifications, the operating system itself. So we went deeper.
Today, Lowha is a phone. Ethical, repairable Fairphone hardware, running LowhaOS, with Lowha Browser built in as the only browser on the device.
What a Lowha Phone is
Fairphone hardware. Sustainable, repairable, and ethically sourced — a fully capable modern smartphone, not a "dumb phone".
LowhaOS pre-installed. Adult content and gambling — apps and websites — are inherently impossible. Not filtered. Not toggleable. Impossible.
Lowha Browser inside. Our engine-level blocking browser is the only browser on the device — the protection can't be side-stepped by installing another one.
Protection you can't uninstall
Privacy is absolute
All blocking is on-device. No browsing data leaves your phone, no analytics, no tracking, no cloud dependency. We will never sell your data or optimise for your attention.
Adult content & gambling: gone
Blocking happens at the operating-system and browser-engine level. No incognito mode, no VPN, no app install, no settings menu can bring it back. You will never be able to access it with Lowha.
Social media has a curfew
Social media isn't evil — but it needs a hard limit. LowhaOS caps social apps at a daily maximum, enforced by the OS itself. When time's up, it's up. No "ignore for today" button.
Commitment windows
Set your limits once, and they're locked for a week before they can be loosened. The you who set the limit at midnight wins over the you who wants to break it at 3pm.
